My client is a leader in their category (general merchandise) and selling across multiple retailers. They are growing at Sam’s Club and looking for an experienced account manager to aid the growth of their Walmart, Inc. team.
Location: Work from Home in Northwest Arkansas
About the Role:
Multi-faceted role, focusing on driving growth at Sam’s Club in overall business, e-commerce, and assigned product categories. Be the subject matter expert in an assigned product category(ies) to help grow sales. This role requires a self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to increase market share and revenue with Sam’s Club.
- Establish strong, long-lasting relationships with buying teams.
- Understand business needs and market trends to provide tailored solutions for the customer.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure product alignment with customer’s standards and preferences.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts and reports, analyzing market trends and competitors’ strategies.
- Ensure compliance with customer’s policies and guidelines.
- Develop product expertise, market intelligence, and feature/benefit information to maximize product penetration in assigned accounts.
- Attend trade shows, sales meetings, and other events to promote products and gather market intelligence.
- Create sales, educational, and training presentations.
- Manage product reviews program.
- Work with factories to ensure and manage correct information with accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop actionable insights by analyzing weekly/monthly selling reports.
- Monitor production timelines, including packaging, delivery dates, shipping status, and communication with internal teams.
- Travel up to 30% (domestic and international)
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree preferred
- 5+ years of business management/selling experience and/or product development with Sam’s Club.
- Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
Salary and Benefits:
- Base Salary: $125,000-150,000
- 20% Annual Bonus Potential
