Job Overview:
The Sales Director will serve as a critical leader, responsible for driving revenue, margin, and customer growth for assigned US business accounts. The role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, managing customer accounts, and building strong client relationships. They will also be involved in product presentations, negotiating contracts, and meeting sales targets.
The role is responsible for achieving national sales goals and forecasts, building and executing sales strategies, and collaborating with product development.
Job Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and support growth in sales revenue
- Lead sales and product meetings for key accounts and opening new accounts. Particular focus on Pottery Barn, West Elm, Ashley Furniture.
- Develop and implement strategic growth plans to drive sales for immediate and future opportunities
- Utilize fact-based selling by completing market analysis and identifying trends in the industry
- Contribute to the growth of the company with product ideas and direction from your account base
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule
- Responsible for managing customer P&L as well as expenses/deductions of accounts
Qualifications:
- Proven sales experience (wholesale/retail in home decor, furniture, or wall art strongly preferred)
- Established network with USA/Canada buyers (i.e. Pottery Barn, West Elm, Furniture Chains), galleries, or design firms is a big plus
- The ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and develop a selling strategy based on this analysis
- Self Starter
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated with ability to work remotely and meet sales targets
- Ability to travel Domestic or International travel up to 30%
Salary and Benefits:
- Base Salary: $ 130,000 – 150,000
