About the Client: 

Our client is a home decor manufacturer headquartered in Los Angeles. They specialize in curated collections of on-trend products for the North American home décor market. They produce thoughtfully curated product assortments based on precise selling data and market trends. Their product design and sales teams are among the best in the industry and have been supplying the home décor market for more than 25 years.  In addition to working with top artists, publishers, and designers in the industry, their in-house design and product development teams ensure they have complete control over the manufacturing process. 

Job Overview: 

Vice President of Sales will serve as a critical leader, responsible for driving revenue, margin, and customer growth for our US business.  Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Sales, this leader will manage 2 Sales Directors, and be responsible for achieving national sales goals and forecasts, building and executing sales strategies, and collaborating with product development.   

The ideal candidate is a sales leader with expertise and a proven track record having experience with major US retailers driving growth and profitability for their company.  This individual will be a self-starter with a competitive drive who is focused and results driven.  They will have excellent communication and managerial skills.  This candidate must be able to balance multiple customers while also having direct reports.   They will provide strong leadership, guidance, and coaching to their team maximizing sales potential.  They will cultivate strong relationships with key customers, design and pd teams as well as overseas teams.  They should be focused on collaborative selling with experience in market and trend analysis.   

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Facilitate and support growth in sales revenue by overseeing metrics and strategy of the sales team 
  • Lead a team of Sales Directors who are responsible for assigned account growth and business development. 
  • Develop and implement strategic growth plans to drive sales for immediate and future opportunities  
  • Drive growth and profitability for the sales division 
  • Utilize fact-based selling by completing market analysis and identifying trends in the industry  
  • Contribute to the growth of the company with product ideas and direction from your account base  
  •  Responsible for managing division P&L as well as expenses/deductions of accounts  
  • Domestic or International travel as needed   

 

Key Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years sales experience developing growth strategy and calling on national US Accounts 
  • Sales experience in the home décor channel 
  • Proven track record of building, managing, and mentoring sales teams. 
  • In depth understanding of the home décor market, including industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to inform decision making, evaluate opportunities, and identify areas for growth 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills 
  • Strategic thinker, problem solver, and adaptable to the changing market and face paced work environment  

Salary and Benefits: 

  • Base Salary: $ 200,000 – 220,000
  • Annual Bonus up to 25%
