Description:
The Sales and Replenishment Analyst is responsible for optimizing inventory levels, ensuring product availability, and driving sales growth within Walmart. This role requires a deep understanding of Walmart’s Retail Link system and its key applications.
As a Wal-Mart Replenishment Analyst, you’ll:
1. Analyze and provide data-driven insights to demonstrate to company management why Wal-Mart should increase its investment in our products.
2. Build relationships with Wal-Mart replenishment managers to help improve the overall relationship with Walmart.
3. Participate in the development of strategic proposals to promote Explore Scientific’s products throughout the year, beyond the holiday season.
This role will oversee the replenishment function for $6-8 million in sales and be a key player in helping the company achieve its goal to grow the business to $8-10 million within two years and, ultimately, $15 million. In addition to managing up to 10 SKUs for direct sales to Wal-Mart, you will play an integral role in helping to grow sales through the Wal-Mart Seller Center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage replenishment for year-round product lines.
- Analyze POS data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective action as needed.
- Forecasting:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate forecasts.
- Utilize advanced analytical tools to predict future demand and optimize inventory levels.
- Analyze historical sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
- Drive efficiency and accuracy via use of Retail Link functions.
- Leverage Retail Link to monitor inventory levels, analyze sales data, and generate reports.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Build strong relationships with Walmart buying teams, replenishment managers, and other key stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external teams to achieve shared goals.
- Proactively address issues and opportunities to ensure seamless operations.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Present findings to key stakeholders and provide actionable recommendations.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Walmart and Retail Link preferably with import items
- Strong understanding of replenishment processes and inventory management principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like pivot tables and data analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for driving results and continuous improvement.
- Experience with any of the following retailers is a plus: Walmart Canada, Academy, Bass Pro, Canadian Tire, Target
Salary & Benefits:
- Annual Salary: $85,000 – $100,000, commensurate with experience.
