About the Role:
As a National Account Manager for the Walmart account, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales, profitability, and market share for our company. You will be responsible for managing and growing our business with Walmart, building strong relationships with key decision-makers, and executing strategic initiatives to achieve our goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive account strategies aligned with Walmart’s business objectives and our company’s goals.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at Walmart, including buyers, category managers, and executives.
- Sales Planning and Forecasting: Develop accurate sales forecasts and annual operating plans. Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Category Management: Collaborate with Walmart category teams to optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotions.
- New Product Launches: Manage the launch of new products, including coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution.
- Trade Marketing: Develop and execute effective trade marketing programs to drive sales and brand awareness.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues and challenges that arise with Walmart, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports on sales performance, market share, and key performance indicators.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in sales and account management on the Walmart account.
- Proven track record of success in managing and growing national accounts.
- Strong understanding of the retail industry, particularly Walmart’s business model and operations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficient in performing sales and category analysis using Luminate, Retail Link and syndicated data.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Salary & Benefits:
- Base Salary: 120,000-140,000
- Bonus: % based on performance
