Job Description

About our Client:

My client is a leader in their category (furniture) and selling across multiple retailers.  They are growing across all channels and looking for an experienced Marketing Designer/Manager in the home and furniture categories to enhance their sales team.

Location: Ideal in Birmingham, AL or Pensacola, FL (open to remote)

About the Role:

This is a senior-level role for a professional who operates with equal confidence in a marketing strategy session and a production queue of 400+  images. You will be the primary creative and marketing engine for designated brands, responsible for both planning and hands-on execution across packaging, print, digital, and e-commerce. This role will work closely with a graphic designer and oversee the work from the brief to the final file.

Job Responsibilities:

 Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies that support product launches, retail programs, and brand growth
  • Translate product design, innovation, and features into clear, compelling consumer messaging tailored to both retail sell-in and consumer sell-through.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Product Design teams to align marketing strategy with product positioning and retailer requirements.
  • Own the planning, organization, and delivery of all marketing assets required for product launches and seasonal programs.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to improve marketing process efficiency, content quality, and asset management practices.

Design Production & Creative Execution

  • Design and produce all marketing and brand assets independently, including packaging, print collateral, sell-in presentations, digital ads, and e-commerce imagery.
  • Manage product photography from planning through final delivery, including shoot coordination, editing, color correction, file organization, and asset submission.
  • Leverage AI-generated visual assets when appropriate in lieu of traditional production photography, evaluating quality and applicability on a program-by-program basis.
  • Execute high-volume photo-editing and color-correction workflows with precision and consistency across large image libraries.
  • Explore, evaluate, and implement AI-driven creative tools and workflows to improve the efficiency of asset creation and expand overall marketing capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain production-ready files, templates, and brand standards that enable fast, consistent execution across programs.
  • Ensure all assets meet retailer specifications, print production standards, and brand guidelines before delivery.
  • Manage file organization systems and asset libraries so that product information and creative materials are accessible and up to date.

Brand, Content & Digital Channels

  • Maintain consistency across brand messaging, product storytelling, and visual presentation across all consumer and retail touchpoints.
  • Create, publish, and maintain product content in Syndigo, ensuring listings are accurate, complete, and optimized across all active retail syndication channels.
  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns from concept through deployment, including content creation, layout, scheduling, and performance tracking.
  • Establish and enforce visual standards and production quality benchmarks in the absence of a dedicated design team.

Cross-Functional & Vendor Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Product Design, Sales, and Leadership to gather inputs and align on creative direction.
  • Coordinate with external partners, including printers and production vendors, to ensure accurate and on-time delivery of physical assets.
  • Brief and manage outside vendors on an as-needed basis, maintaining quality control and timeline adherence.

Qualifications

Required

  • 6 to 10 years of combined experience in marketing and graphic design, with demonstrated ownership of both strategy and production.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with particular depth in Photoshop for high-volume image editing and color correction, and InDesign and Illustrator for print and digital production.
  • Proven track record producing packaging, print collateral, and e-commerce or digital assets to production-ready standards.
  • Experience working with or producing assets for major retail channels such as Costco, Sam’s Club, or similar.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent programs and asset types while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines without a design support team.
  • Strong understanding of retail sell-in and sell-through marketing, and what motivates buyers and consumers at each stage.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with experience managing asset libraries, file systems, and production pipelines.

Preferred

  • Background in consumer products, hardlines, outdoor living, or a category with strong seasonal retail cadence.
  • Experience developing marketing plans alongside product design or development teams from concept through launch.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce content standards and retailer asset submission portals.
  • Comfort developing marketing copy and basic content direction in addition to visual execution.

Salary and Benefits

  • Base Salary: $100,000 – 120,000
  • Standard Health and Dental benefits
  • 401K matching up to 5%
  • Remote work environment
