About Our Client:
Our client is a home decor company selling home décor (wall hanging and functional) internationally. The company is headquartered in China and currently seeking expertise to build upon their U.S. based sales and design team.
Location: remote in the U.S.
Travel: U.S. domestic and to Asia
Position Overview:
This role will serve as a key leadership position, responsible for driving revenue growth, improving profit margins, and expanding the client base for our US operations. Report directly to the Sr. Vice President Sales and Operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of two Sales Directors while personally handling business development and account management for key clients, specifically Walmart and Target.
- Take full ownership of achieving national sales targets and forecasts, developing and executing sales strategies, and collaborating closely with the Product Development team.
- The ideal candidate should possess specialized knowledge in the Home Décor category and a proven track record of creating growth and profitability for major US retailers.
- Demonstrate a self-motivated and enterprising spirit, strong competitive drive, focus, and a results-oriented mindset, backed by excellent communication and management skills.
- Balance the management of multiple client relationships while directly leading a subordinate team, providing strong leadership, guidance, and training to maximize sales potential.
- Build solid partnerships with key clients, the Design and Product Development teams, and the overseas team. Focus on collaborative sales models and possess experience in analyzing market trends.
Qualifications:
- Proven sales experience in the Home Décor channel to include accounts: Walmart, Target, TJX, Ross, Lowe’s, Home Depot, At Home, and Kirkland’s, as well as specialty, wholesale, and eCommerce channels.
- Recent sales account management at Walmart and/or Target.
- Proven sales experience with a background in management.
- A strong track record of building, managing, and mentoring high-performing sales teams.
- Deep understanding of the Home Décor market, including industry trends, customer preferences, and the competitive landscape. Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform decisions, evaluate opportunities, and identify areas for growth.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- A strategic thinker and problem solver, adaptable to changing markets and a fast-paced work environment.
